Women’s soccer advances to regional

Jackson College women's soccer will face St. Clair County Community College in the first round on the NJCAA Region XII Women's Soccer Semi-Final Tournament game Saturday at home in Jackson at 11 a.m.

The women's soccer team record is 5-4 overall and in the MCCAA Conference. They are the No. 2 seed going into the conference, while St. Clair is the No. 3 seed. The Jets faced St. Clair County twice this season, winning one match 4-0 and losing the second 3-1.

"I'm very proud of what this team has achieved with such a small roster, gutting through some injuries and still managing to finish second in the Region," said Coach Andy Hosmer. "We will have a tough opening round game, and if we can advance an even tougher championship game but I believe that this team has what it takes to advance and win a regional title."
