The Jackson College Women's Soccer team completed their most successful season to date in 2018, winning more games, scoring more goals and receiving more post-season individual awards than in any year previous.

Forward Skylar Gilbert was named as the first NJCAA Division One All-American in Jets program history. The freshman from Utica was named Honorable Mention in the All-American honors. Gilbert started all 18 games this season and scored 13 goals, including 7 game-winning goals.

"Skylar was a player we knew we wanted to have here when she came to visit in 2017. Her skill was obvious, but we really liked her work ethic and character also. We felt she would embody what we want our program to be about and she was that and more. This recognition is truly deserved and well-earned for her," said head coach Andy Hosmer. The NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Committee makes All-America selections.

The Jets had four players named to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association All League first team, including MCCAA player of the year Kayler Beech. Joining Beech on the first team were Skylar Gilbert, Sydney Acosta and Katie Brown. Kasia Polek was named to the MCCAA honorable mention team as well. Gilbert, Brown and Acosta were additionally all named to the MCCAA All Freshman Team.
