Jets fly high over Muskegon, enjoy 1st place in conference

Congratulations to the Jackson College Jets women's soccer team, in first place in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association! The Jets won at home Saturday over the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks, 4-1.

The Jets' Kayler Beech, forward from Battle Creek, scored 2 goals and has 2 assists in Saturday's game. She scored at the 41-minute mark with an assist from Victoria King, and at the 89-minute mark with an assist from Kate McElhone. King scored the first goal of the game at the 26-minute mark, with an assist from Beech. Teammate Skylar Gilbert scored at the 35-minute mark with an assist from Beech. Goalie Katarzynia Polek got the win for the Jets.

Muskegon's lone goal came was Emily Winicki at the 48-minute mark, with assist from Amy England and Vivi Mireles.

The Jets are 6-1-0 on the season in the MCAA, with a 9-3 overall record. Jets head coach is Andy Hosmer.
