Mike Masten named head women's golf coach

Jackson, MI - Michael Masten name head women's golf coach in an announcement by athletic director, Heather Bateman.  "We are very excited to have Mike continue here as one of our coaches and believe he is a great fit for this program." 

Masten the former men and women's assistant golf coach is very familiar with Jackson College. He is a native of Grass Lake, MI and has had a passion for golf since his father put a club in his hand at age 2.  Michael is a former college athlete, and understands the strength and dedication it takes to be a student athlete.  He is a former baseball player at Adrian College, and received his bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University.  He went on to study golf operations at the Golf Academy of America, and has worked within the golf industry since 2006.  It was during his time spent as a Golf Professional in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, that he developed a love for teaching the game.  He is proud to be back in his home state of Michigan and serving as the Women's Golf Coach at Jackson College.
