Jamie Vandenburgh enters her sixth season as the head softball coach at Jackson College.

Through the program’s first 5 seasons under Vandenburgh, 19 players have been recognized nationally through the NJCAA for their outstanding academic achievements. The team also earned MCCAA and NJCAA All-Academic Team honors that last 4 seasons

Additionally, 27 athletes have received conference honors including 6 All-Freshman team and 4 All-Regional. Additionally, the Jets softball team has set new program records for wins in a season the last two seasons. The most current record is 37-15 (2019). In 2018 the coaching staff was named NFCA NJCAA DII East Region Coaching Staff of the Year. On April 4th 2019 the coaching staff earned their 100th win. 

Vandenburgh comes to Jackson College from a vast playing and coaching background.  She was formerly the Head Softball Coach at Homer High School where she compiled a 93-21 record in 4 seasons of coaching JV and Varsity Softball. Throughout the summer she has coached various travel teams through the Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch organization. Vandenburgh currently serves as a board member of the travel organization.

 Vandenburgh attended local Michigan Center High School where she currently holds pitching records in multiple categories. In 2010 she graduated from Hillsdale College after playing four years of softball and earned Honorable Mention All-Conference. Hillsdale is a NCAA DII College in the GLIAC Conference.
