Congratulations to the Jackson College Jets' Riley Hestwood, medalist in the MCCAA men's golf championship this week at Arbor Hills Golf Course!

Hestwood shot three rounds at 220 – 69, 73 and 78 – for 4 over par. He won by 1 shot over two other players. Hestwood is a freshman this year, a graduate of Lumen Christi High.

"Riley worked extremely hard on his game and deserves the award he earned, said Walt Paszkiet, golf coach. "He's a great player and student who has an excellent chance to qualify for Nationals."

The golf team finished sixth in the MCCAA to qualify for NJCAA Region XII play next Monday and Tuesday at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek. If they qualify there, the following week is Nationals in Indiana.
