Jackson to host men’s golf championship at Arbor Hills

Jackson College will host the 2019 MCCAA Men's Golf Championship at Arbor Hills Golf Club May 6-7. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

"Arbor Hills offers a very nice place to play this event, which will be a competitive and challenging course," said Walter Paszkiet, men's golf coach. "We are looking forward to it. This is Jackson's second time hosting the MCCAA Tournament and it is a privilege to do so."

This year's team consists of four players after losing the fifth in December. It is comprised of freshmen, with Riley Hestwood, Lumen Christi graduate, as the no. 1 player with an excellent chance to move on to Nationals in mid-May. Trent Sprunger, East Jackson grad, Braxton Boyd and Jake Langston, both Hillsdale High graduates, round out the team and are all capable of a strong tournament run.

Paszkiet looks for the team to move on from the MCCAA tournament to the NJCAA Region XII competition at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek the following week.
