Jackson College welcomes Caleb Baird as the new assistant men's basketball coach for the 2019 season.

Baird is a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where he majored in sports management. "I love all sports," he said. He spent a great deal of time working with Eastern's basketball teams learning the ins and outs of the game, and found he had a passion for it. When he saw the opening at Jackson College, he decided to try it.

"It's going very well so far. I like being able to make an impact on the student athletes and watch them grow," Baird said. "I want to help the team keep improving, and to make sure that they understand and are excelling both in the classroom and on the court; not sacrificing one for the other."

Baird is a graduate of Vandercook Lake High. He played football and wrestled in high school.
