Grand Rapids, Becker win at Jackson College Jets Classic
The Grand Rapids Community College women's cross country team claimed their second straight meet winning the Jackson College Jets Classic. Host Jackson College was second and St. Clair County Community College was third. Muskegon CC finished fourth and Kellogg Community College finished fifth.
On the individual side, Kiah Becker won the race with a time of 21:33.40 for the 5 kilometer race. Teammate Audrey Meyering was second finishing ahead of Olivia Hubbard of Jackson College. St. Clair County's Caitlyn Rogers was fourth. Oakland had Emma DelCotto and Ashley Lagodzinski of Oakland finished fifth and sixth respectfully. Emily Swiercz of Macomb was seventh, while Jackson's Harmony Harpster was eighth. Macy Whipple of Muskegon CC and Jessica Adams of Mott CC rounded out the top ten.
All MCCAA teams will compete next week at the Firebird Invitational hosted by Kirtland Community College in Grayling, MI.
