Mid Michigan College win 2021 MCCAA women's bowling championship

The Mid Michigan College women's bowling team fought of Jackson College on Friday at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing to win the 2021 MCCAA women's bowling championship. The Lakers shot 7,363 to beat the Jets by 69 pins. St. Clair County CC was third with a total of 7,229.

Katelyn Heiden and Laurynn Ball of St. Clair won the the doubles title with a six game total of 1022. Heiden shot a 479 with a high game of 176. Ball had a high game of 214 in her 534 series. Allison Little and Julia Shroat of Schoolcraft College shot 1017 for second place, while Brook Bauman and Jessica Badley of St. Clair finished third with a total of 997.

St. Clari County Community College

In the singles competition, Kelsey Kipp of Kellogg Community College claimed the title with a 567 series. Her high game was 196 for the singles series. Kayla Van Tiem of Mid Michigan College as second with a 562 and Hallie Weaver of Mid Michigan College was third with 554. 

MCCAA SINGLES CHAMPION:

The MCCAA all-events champions was Hallie Weaver of Mid Michigan College with an eight game series of 1463, Van Teim of Mid Michigan College was second with 1449 and Jessica Badley was third with 1421.

The All-MCCAA team consists of the top 10 all events finishers. Those were Heiden of St. Clair, Little of Schoolcraft College, Bobbie Benson of Kirtland CC, Lailah Maull of Jackson College, Ball of St. Clair, Shroat of Schoolcraft, Kaylee Hall of Jackson College, Badley of St. Clair, Van Teim of Mid Michigan and Weaver of Mid Michigan. Weaver was the MCCAA Bowler of the Year. Ryan Harkrader of Mid Michigan College was the MCCAA Coach of the Year

Many of the same teams and bowlers will be back in Lansing on April 7-9, 2021 for the NJCAA Women's Bowling Championship.
